  • 2014 The Suites at Hershey MF's and other fees- not enrolled in bluegreen points

    2014 MF billed 12/10/13 due 2/1/14
    MF 2014 - $452.12
    Reserves- $ 82.14
    RE tax 2014 $ 50.14
    Total- $584.14

Cancellation fee- if reservation is made and then cancelled more than 24 hours later.
    $35
Splitting week into two reservations-the first one is free
$35 for 2nd partial week reservation

Transfer fee sent to Resort Title Agency after deed is recorded.
    $100

All of this is good news as the cancellation fees and transfer fees went up for points owners but remained the same for weeks owners at this resort managed by Bluegreen.

$584 is a reasonable MF for a 2 BR gold resort.

Yes, those sound like pretty good fees especially for that resort. Is it a floating unit or specific week? If it floats, what weeks?

It floats and the range is fairly wide- WEEKS 16-42; 51-53
You do need to call at or very near to 12 months for the summer weeks. There is no online reservation for deeded weeks.
My understanding is only building 1 is deeded weeks points weeks and and the other 2 buildings are all in Bluegreen points. Building 1 is closer to the railroad tracks (not great but not terrible either when I was there) and the outdoor pool. It is not in the building (or the building connected by an indoor walkway) with the indoor pool but as long as I have a summer week that doesn't matter too much.

No not selling or giving away. I just noticed that sites keep track of MF's but forget that knowing what the other fees and how they have changed overtime contribute to the overall value or lack thereof for different resorts or systems. The Yahoo forum has info for points owners but doesn't seem to have as many weeks owners and I thought anyone who owns at any bluegreen resorts that are not in points (deeded/flexible ownership/UDI's) might want to keep a record in the forum so others who are thinking of buying or already own can keep track of the MF's and fees.

I must say, I hate having to call but the bluegreen phone agents are much friendlier than the starwood ones.

                That's a good idea.
I own a non points BG resort also.
And I agree the agents are usually very nice.

Thanks, but don't want one that bad! $1000 just in closing costs, PLUS this years MF's and no real ability to get a summer week probably would make this a bad deal for me. Am interested to see what it goes for though.
