I know they can be used a t all BG resorts but the home resort unit matters.

At 11 months, it is released to all BG owners to reserve using points.
There are people who are always on the look out for a deeded summer cabin at Big Cedar or summer weeks in Myrtle Beach.
I am on the lookout for deeded week 52 at La Cabana - even thought I don't "need" any more points, I would gladly take that ownership.
Maint fees are based on the trust fund and sales type.
"Most" people are interested in trust fund E as you only pay one base fee of $330 for all your points. Owning different trust funds can result in more then one yearly base fee.

Is there a link to annual fees you can give me? I'm seeing that there are three fees discussed: "Base" fee, maintenance fee, and club fee.
I suggest you start reading those threads going back several years if need be to get an idea.
You can also join the Blugreen Owners Group on Yahoo.
There are files there that explain a lot

That doesn't mean they can't still be great if it's a resort that you like and want to visit as you still retain bonus time privileges with a resale unit.
For someone who wants to ski and lives close by, this unit can make sense to own.
Your points also work thru out the Bluegreen family of resorts so you can use them elsewhere too.
Bluegreen is a great system with for the most part from a developer standpoint, owner friendly policies.
And the resorts are pretty nice too.

Gold status does not transfer when you sell.
