Are they saying you can stay in Hilton Vacation Club (through RCI) or use your BG points for Hilton Hotels? The first is available to both resale and retail owners and the second I don't think is available to either resale or retail owners.

It would have to be the hotels. That is a new feature to Bluegreen, called Choice Hotels or something.

I kinda doubt Hilton is in there at all but admit to not checking into it simply because it's never going to be a good value. and I didn't get into timesharing to spend more time in hotel rooms.

also, bonus time is NOT always filled. It wouldn't exist if there weren't inventory. like everything else, prime time in prime places will be difficult to get. But people cancel all the time.
Midcap, Board girl is correct about special assessments.
If improvements need to be done at a resort, they are built into the per point fee we pay - we are all part of a trust so the cost is spread amongst all BGVC owners.
Chriskre is a multi-week owner at a resort that is managed by Bluegreen - hence she paid a $1000 special assessment for her 3 units x 3 years = $3,000. Owners whose points are deeded at her resort did not pay a SA - it was spread thru the trust. You should not compare week ownership to owning in the Vacation Club - it is apples and oranges.

          s.
Choice Hotels do not include Hilton - different chain.
Choice is Sleep Inn, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Ascend Collection and several other mid level hotels.

Yes this was true of the UDI owners like me at CMV, but there are some owners whose BG points were deeded at CMV who also paid the assessment at a much lower rate, but still paid it, so I'm not sure if CMV is the exception to the rule on this or if the other resorts just haven't had to face it yet like CMV did.

Chris, the owners who paid were individual week owners, not BGVC owners. This happened to my friend who owns two fixed weeks at La Cabana. She paid almost. $800 per week for Reno, BGVC owners paid $0

The only possible exception at CMV would be those "Blended UDI" owners that have BGVC points for their red week and 'weeks' for all the rest. But that ownership type is very small so the general rule still stands.
