Maintenance fees this year (just paid) are $797.20. We haven't received amount for club dues yet, but it's been $129 for the last several years. Depends on where you book and what season as to what you can get. We usually book Sun.-Thurs. (5 nights) during peak seasons and are able to book another shorter trip during the year. Also, we have booked multiple units to take family with us each year. This past year we donated all our points to a club from our son's high school for their senior trip. We booked a five night trip in July in St. Augustine, FL consisting of 3 very nice suites (full kitchen, etc.) accommodating 12 people. You can also exchange with RCI, but we've never done that. We have enjoyed the Bluegreen resorts at Myrtle Beach and in Gatlinburg, TN and Virginia as these are all areas close to our home. You can browse all the resorts on the Bluegreen website to find the ones close to you.

The transfer fee is $450, but there could be additional fees. This is from the Bluegreen website:
"The nonrefundable transfer fee for completing this transaction is $450 per contract transferred. There could be additional fees depending on the location of the resort and if escrow services are required (example of additional fees: recording fees, docs stamp tax, escrow, etc). You will be notified by one of our designated Closing Agent Partners if this is the case and requested to pay these fees before the transfer is completed."

You may private message me if you have further questions. Thank you.

I never realized this, they really punish the resale buyer

They are not the only ones who do this.
DVC and Wyndham also do this.
I've seen many of these associate resorts and it doesn't look like you're missing much anyway.
