Sorry I missed the 13,000 for some reason I though she had 10,000- darn these middle aged eyes.
I use nightly stays for Hilton Club NY ....no additional fees and Manhattan Club which has a $30 per night fee whether you stay 1 night or 14 nights thru weeks or points. I also have stayed at the Residence at Crane Barbados for 9 nights, windjammer Landing St Lucia for 6 nights Beach Villas at Divi Phoenix for 4 nights and did not have any additional fees.

I am not using it instead of hotel nights but to trade into resorts that are only points resorts (except TMC)

Thanks. That's mainly why I have a points account too. Not everyone is looking to stay in those resorts and with only 15,000 points and being fresh from a developer update I think the average timeshare owner buys into the stay two nights here, three nights there, four nights here rather than do weekly stays. Not only do the update folks gloss over RCI exchange fees they gloss over a lot of other things.

For those interested in Disney stays and Hilton stays in general, there are additional deposits that go into points only. Wyndham doesn't do a lot of inventory into the points side but I have seen additional units at Great Smokies Resort that was not available in weeks.

I forgot about Disney, last year, I got an. Easter week exchange into DVC for a friend thru Nightly stays. It was not available thru weeks.

Agree with 15K points this is not realistic. And the sales people made it sound as if there was NOT an exchange fee if using nightly stays, only weeks.

I have to say I have never attended a Bluegreen "Update" and I am never planning to!

Thanks so much for the insight Pat and Sally! I really appreciate it. Thank goodness for this and other forums/groups. I really wonder how we're supposed to get any straight answers if we just rely on the owners update...

I haven't attended a BG update either. Updates when I know they are not telling the truth (which is pretty much all of them) give me a head ache. The last one I went to (not bg) after avoiding them for 4+ years, the 1st closer started yelling at me that I didn't know what I was talking about when I point out the inaccuracy of what he was saying. I didn't even mention the gloss overs and only pointed out the giant whopper.

There are exchange fees with any EXCHANGE, however Extra Vacations and Last Call are purely financial transactions, so the price you see is the price you pay, or at least it always has been for us (I suppose there could be something special somewhere, as with DVC's added fee for exchanging in).

I really don't want to talk to a pushy BG sales person anymore - especially to find out if I can combine resale points with my current points - to get the VIP level and TP. Do you suggest I go through Pinnacle? I'm guessing BocaBum isn't selling with them anymore. Does anyone know of a good, reputable, non-pushy sales person through Pinnacle?

                Much appreciated!
If you are wanting TP just for RCI points, you might want to just consider buying an RCI points resort deed.
I own one that is a triennial and just pay the MF's every 3 years but can book every year.
It's much cheaper than buying more BG points just for RCI points.
Resales abound on ebay and other websites like Sumday vacations.
