  • Quick advice needed about buying Points

Last January my husband and I purchased a small points package from bluegreen and then quickly rescinded. Thanks to this site we learned that buying resale is the way to go. (thank you!!). I have spent a lot of time reading and learning over the past 6 months. Somehow I have never seen the answer to my question, or have already forgotten due to info overload (sorry!). My question: Does it matter if you buy a large points package first, or do you need to buy a small points package from Pinnacle first? I ask because I found a points package that we're interested in that is deeded at the location we want, but we haven't bought the small package from Pinnacle yet to get our charter benefits. The bidding on this other points package ends tomorrow, so if we move forward with it, we'd have to get the small package from Pinnacle later. Would that make any difference at all when trying to link them up?

I have to make a decision by noon tomorrow.... so any quick feedback would be appreciated. Thank you so much!

Well.....if you win your eBay auction today and then go into contract and move it along it will still take several months to get in your name.

In the meanwhile, you can contact Pinnacle today/Monday and start the process on the purchase from them. This will go MUCH quicker then any eBay purchase that you will do so you will be okay.

Remember to deed your packages in exactly the same name(s) so they can be successfully linked together.

    Good luck on your auction

Edit. This is just my feeling but I would want the charter benefit package in place with all the bells and whistles and have the resale to follow. Situations/rules/policies can change so....... Doing it in this order does not draw attention to what you are doing

Thank you for the advice! I was definitely concerned about having the charter benefit package in place first.... I think I better slow my roll on this ebay opportunity. I'm sure there will be more down the road. Thanks!
