What do I need to do to sell my timeshare? My husband and I bought it and never use it.
Thank You!
Welcome to the board.
Selling your timeshare depends on a few things. First, ownership cant be transferred until the mortgage is payed off. If thats the case, then you can look at trying to sell it. The unfortunate fact right now is there is no resale market. To transfer to another person there are about $500 to $700 in fee's.
If you really need to get rid of it, offer to pay these fee's to the person taking off your hands. If you are lucky, and have a desirable underlying week, you ~may~ find someone who will pay those fee's. If not, it could be a while. If you take a look at places like eBay, there are between 2 and 10 new listings every day, with the fee's being paid by the seller. These go from $1 to a couple hundred at times. Some now are even listing with the fee's paid, and a couple hundred in gift cards to the person taking the timeshare.
If after all this you still want to sell it, you will need the following information
# points, trust fund, sales type, underlying week and resort. There is a separate area of this board you can also list on if you wish.
