Being that you outbid me (in the last minute), a fellow cheesehead for the last Xmas Mt UDI on e-bay, how about a cheap rental week?

As this was a Timbers UDI, would that have come with the free golf and ski privileges? My understanding is that Timbers do, cottages don't.

Just let me know what we can work out on the week, maybe half-price just for the effort????

But seriously, are you going through with the purchase? I got a second chance offer on e-bay, but I think it may be a scam.

The seller listed his e-mail address in the listing specifically saying that any 2nd chance offers were to come from that e-mail.

Of course, the one I got was from a different e-mail, and it does not show up in myebay as a 2nd chance offer. I e-mailed the seller but haven't heard back yet.

This is a new one for me, it all looked on the up and up. Of course, if it is a scam, I'll play along a bit for some fun...

If it did not come from Ebay then do not even think about it even if it was coming right from this persons email. You are not protected at all!

It is a scam as someone who was about the eight high bidder also got a similar message as you did.

In fact the person who ran the auction has a warning about those so called second chance offers.

The bidding went up by about $2,000. in the last Minute. Yes this one has the Free ski Lift passes and free golfing. I though the amount I was prepared to snipe bid was enough. Try bidding another $10,000. more . the next time you bid on a CMV UDI Oak Timbers auction

I needed this CMV UDI Oak Timbers as I only have 4 other CMV UDI Oak Timber ownerships and only 2 CMV UDI Cottage units after selling three of our CMV UDI Cottage units eariler this year.

With this UDI we won last week we already reservered by our selfs through Bluegreen two Jan 13, 2007 white weeks for units 66 & 72 for ML King week that are for rent for only $349 each.. A Sept 9, 2006 week in unit 57 for rent for only $399.

Yesterday we reseved a Deluxe Timbers unit #812-2 for June 29, 2007 check in for the July 4th week at CMV with our 9,000 Bluegreen Points from that ebay unit. That Deluxe Timbers is for rent like the two other Deuxe Timbers we booked yesterday for the fourth of July unit numbers 811-2 & 812-2 for only $869 each.

Those 3 Deluxe Timbers are IMHO and in many other experianced CMV owners opinions are the nicest 2 bedrooms at CMV. There are only 16 Deluxe Timbers so getting 3 of these for the 2007 4th of July week felt pretty good.

I will just keep blundering along with our CMV UDI and our other thrashy timeshae ownerships.

My last bid was about 3 minutes prior, and I had been bidding on it since the start of the auction. I was out at 3200.

I am looking to get into a UDI at Xmas Mountain, both for staying there and for renting out, but have some budget constraints that I have to deal with. Not to mention the better half constraint.

I would agree that the deluxe timbers are by far the best units there, the rest are not even close. I have stayed in them many times.

Trust me, if I had 10G lying around I'd have considered it..

On August 21, 2006 I did a "type of Preemptive ebay snipe " and picked up another CMV UDI Cottage that also has 12,000 Bluegreen points attached to it. We were able to verify only that morning that it was a CMV UDI as the ad was confusing and the seller missstated that it was not a UDI in their ad.

Those 12,000 Bluegreen Points will make us Bluegreen vacation club members with 39,000 Bluegreen Points.

The seller has honored every promise and has been great to work with.

Hopefully by tomarrow we we be able already be able to start to make reservations for ourselves with this ownership.
