  • BlueGreen Points through resale market

Hi! We have 6,000 annual points through Bluegreen, and are interested in purchasing more points through the resale market. When I threw Pinnicle Vacations name out at the BlueGreen rep last year (to get out of that ownership meeting quickly), they started saying something about how if we purchase points through resale, that we basically can't really use them (some new policy they were starting?) How true is any of this? Now that we are seriously considering it, I wanted to post here first, before contacting anyone over at Pinnicle.

    Thanks!!

LD - Bluegreen has it's own forum and you may get more advice there, tho salesman talk is about as good an answer- always question what a salesman says.

        Not true.
        Lying
Trying to get you to buy full frieght from them b

Since you purchased your original points thru BG you already have all the bells and whistles.
The only thing you don't get when buying resale is metal status. Bronze silver gold platinum.
And most will say it is not worth spending tens of thousands of dollars for the benefit

You are already paying club dues of $129 and a base fee of $350 so if you added 10,000 resale points it would only raise your maint fee by 10,000 x $0.054 = $540 per year

Buying " regular" points not ones with premier benefits from Pinnacle is the way to go - make sure your new resale points are in the same trust fund E as the points you have now so you only pay one base free and club dues.
The danger of buying off of Ebay is that older contracts can be in different trust funds and have two base fees.
