Geting points to never expire

Apparently BG now has a way for you to get your points to never expire. Does anyone know what this is?

I am at The Falls Village and was in the lobby getting some coffee and overheard one of the workers talking to someone about doing an owner's update and she mentioned the never expire thing.

I haven't done an owner's update in years. Might do one next year in FL when I go.

From what I understand, the Choice hotel options extends the use of the points. Changing to RCI I believe is what they are promoting. Bluegreen does not have a way to keep points without using one of those external sources.
