I talked to a sales person, during an owners update, at Mountain Run last week and was told the following things.

1. There was a 22% increase in the costs of point this past Jan. & there will be another 15% increase in Aug.
   
2. BG is going to raising point prices by 30% yearly with a15% increase in Jan. and a 15% increase in July for the next few years.
   
3. BG is going to increase the points needed to get to sliver and gold levels. The increase will be 35,000 points for sliver and 50,000 points for gold. Current sliver and gold members will be grandfathered in to the new system.

I know this is part of a sale pitch but I am not sure if it is all fiction. Her are the reasons she gave for the price increase and the change in sliver and gold memberships.

BG points are under valued and for BG to increase its expansion out west they will need to increase prices and will do so as long as the market will bear increases.

To add a platinum level (60,000) would be difficult to do considering what is already available through sliver and gold memberships.

Sliver Benefits are: Express Check-in, Early Check-in (2 pm), Preferred Status Reservation Priority, Fee for Reservation Cancellations Waived, Unit Upgrade, Points Payment of Maintenance Fees also Club Dues, and 50% More Encore Referral Rewards.

Gold Benefits are: All sliver benefits, 75% More Encore Referral Rewards, Enhanced Preferred Status Reservation Priority, Unit Upgrade, Extended Stays For No Additional Points, and Exchange Company Upgrades.

If nothing else it is food for thought.
