  • Thanks everyone

I've been reading this board and TUG for awhile. I own a flex week that I have had for some time, I paid developer prices, but heck I was young and stupid. I liked it alot until recently. I think points are the wave of the future, I was thinking HGVC but ended up deciding Bluegreen was a better deal for my needs. The thanks is for all the posts you guys have made, very informative.

I just bought 11,000 points , it came with 22,000 banked points, total cost after closing will be about $5500, not as cheap as some deals I've seen, but I trust the vendor, can't always say that about ebay.

11,000 of those points will expire 12/1 of this year, I may find a few open weekends, but if I don't what should I do with the points? bank with RCI? Closing may take 6-8 weeks so I would have to go thru the realtor to do whatever I do.

Congratulations. Welcome to the Club. I think you'll find Bluegreen a great vacation club. What I would do is sign up for DAE and book a couple of low point value weeks into that exchange. You will probably get a few weeks out of them. And, there are some thanksgiving weeks that may be available that you can get and deposit with II or RCI.

Good luck. It'll take 1-2 months to close. So, book something as soon as you can. If the current owner will do it for you, that's even better. Be sure to ask.
