I saw on another thread:
This brings up a question I have: Since BG charges so many more points for weekends than for weeknights, is weekend availability better than weeknight availability at most BG resorts? Or, is the Fountains an unusual case, in that people don't usually go to Orlando for just the weekend?
I know that with Disney Vacation Club, the points differential between weekends and weeknights is much smaller than with Bluegreen. For example, a studio that costs 11 points a night Sunday through Thursday might be 24 points on Friday and Saturday night. (The DVC also doesn't go for the standard timeshare practice of using high-denomination values for the cost of all of its units! It seems pure marketing that Fairfield makes a unit worth 28,000 points instead of 28 points, but I digress...)
Anyway, weeknights fill up way before weekends at the DVC, at least at the DVC Orlando resorts. So, given that BG has an even bigger difference between weeknights and weekends, I'd expect there to be an even bigger run on the weeknights, but maybe that isn't the case. Any thoughts on this?
