  • Big Cedar Restaurants

We're thinking of Big Cedar for a few days in February - depending on the kind of winter we have in this area. My question concerns the restaurants there. Of course we can eat in the unit we reserve, but once-in-awhile we might like to eat out. Are the restaurants pricey in the resort, or can we get something without breaking our bank? Thanks for info. I searched the resort web site for a menu but was unable to find it. Also, can we walk to most of them from the lodge where we would stay, or should we drive.

Working backwards, if you are in Wilderness Club you will likely drive, but they do have vans running regularly, although things are not very regular in February.

The main restaurant is a nice woodsey, lodgey, fireplacey dining room called the Devils Pool Restaurant. I would guess you could google that and find something. They will not break you budget but they are not inexpensive either. Say $9 burgers, since that is the last thing I had there.

Downstairs is the Buzzard Bar, a cozy, woodsy, lodgey, fireplacey small dining room, with a bar, duh. It is now non-smoking.

Count on Devils Pool being open at main meal times and the Buzzard Bar being open the rest of the time.

These places can be really busy or not-so-busy. A couple weeks ago when the wandering nomad and I ate there, both were busy.

    Anything else, just ask.
