  • Finally Closed!!!

It has been about 5-1/2 months now but my ebay purchase has finally closed.

Now I guess everything gets sent to BG. How long from now until I am actually recognized is my next concern.

It would be nice if I could book something for this fall.

    Anyway

It takes about 1 week for the points to be in your name after the funds have been dispersed and the deal closes escrow. If it takes longer than that, it's because they forgot to enter your telephone number into your account. It happens all the time. Have them search for it a different way, like account number or address or spouse's name.

Thanks. That's sooner than I expected. I was told it would take about 45 days for BG to get me into their system.

Whatever the case may be, I know it will be worth it. My son loved Big Cedar (for about three days, then he had had enough).

Congratulations on finally closing! I thought that we would be closing a couple of weeks ago, but didn't. I think that we are in one of those double closing EBay situations that Boca mentioned in another thread. Our paper work was supposedly sent on to Bluegreen in December. So hopefully we will be closing soon too!

Apparently, Resort Title has had some personnel losses and escrow periods are getting bad again like last summer.

I, for one, have a couple of escrows that I opened in January where I don't have closing documents yet. None of my February transactions have progressed.

If Resort Title doesn't solve this problem by the end of May, they may become worse than Fairfield in the treatment of resale transfers. I hope that doesn't happen.

I bought FF points in July and they finally closed in March. 8 months to transfer. How bad is that?

Good news! We had a message on our answering machine yesterday saying that our closing documents are on their way!

We bought 2 resales in August of last year....niether of which has closed yet. I'm encouraged by Boca's post concerning Resort Title. I am on vacation at the moment, but I will be giving them a call when I get back.

                Now the fun starts

Congratulations on almost finishing the purchase process. Time to get out the calendar and determine when you want to go to Big Cedar this fall. Our sons love Big Cedar also and were a big reason why we bought BG. I don't believe it should take long for you to be recognized. Boca's advice is exactly what I did last year - I just kept calling and insisting that they search by names and contract number until they found it.
