I just received a call from Bluegreen Owner Services regarding an issue I raised with them regarding the transfer of RCI accounts upon a resale purchase. The good news is they are fixing the process and they will be training all owner services reps to handle it properly now.
It has been an extremely frustrating process getting your RCI account set up. You know that your $115 annual dues covers your RCI account, but if you buy resale, there was no easy way to get it set up. A few owner services reps knew how to get it done, so if you were lucky enough to get one, you would get your RCI account. However, if you were unlucky enough to get someone not familiar with the process, you would go into an endless loop of frustration.
Many of you simply signed up directly with RCI to get an account and paying your RCI account fees twice. Well, you have to do that no more. All you need to do is contact owner services after you purchase your resale account and simply ask to have your RCI account set up. They will send a notice to an organization called asset recovery who will complete the RCI account transfer process.
Give them a couple of days to go through the training and let's have someone give it a go. I'd like to see if it works. Please post your experience here.
What makes me most happy about this whole situation is that I raised an issue with owner services, they acknowledged that it was a problem, they researched the issue and the implemented an action plan to fix it.
Bluegreen is great!
