Hi everyone. I am leaning towards buying 9-15k points at BG, but an waiting till I come back from CMV from my first visit (rental) at BG to decide. I have a few questions that I could not find the answer to.

- If you reserve a full week, at eleven months out, can you reserve a connecting 3 or 4 day reservation at another resort at the same time? (Eq: a week in Orlando, 3 days at another Fl resort)

- If reserving at 11 months, does the week have to be at one resort,or can you split it into 2 resorts?

- If you reserve one week 11 months out, and say four months before you leave, cannot go for the full seven days, can you reduce the number of days you go and get your points credited back?

- Can you borrow part of the following years’ points?

- If you don’t use some points, do they carry over the following year? Is it like DVC, were you have to tell them months in advance?

- For the summer months, is it hard to reserve a week in Myrtle Beach, Aruba or Hawaii at 11 months out?

- For the summer months, will I be able to reserve Big Cedar or CMV for four or five days in the summer (2 bdr), or will it be books with week reservations by five months out?

- If you want to trade in II, which BG resorts can you trade with, and do you reserve a week and deposit it yourself?

No, you cannot. Each reservation is independent and subject to the reservation rules.

- If reserving at 11 months, does the week have to be at one resort,or can you split it into 2 resorts?

You need to stay 7-nights in one resort at the 11 months mark if it's a red season booking or higher. If it's Blue or White, you can to partial weeks.

- If you reserve one week 11 months out, and say four months before you leave, cannot go for the full seven days, can you reduce the number of days you go and get your points credited back?

You really mean, can you book a full week and then cancel that week so you can use bonus time, don't you? The answer is it's possible, but you need to break the rules to do so. Technically, you cannot rebook the same resort for 24 hours. And, if you are not Silver preferred, you will be charged a $35 change fee or a $50 cancellation fee.

- Can you borrow part of the following years’ points?

No, it's all or nothing based on specific deeded week. You can prepay any of your deeded week and unit numbers. So, if you have more than one week, you can prepay each of them or all of them together.

Points are saved to the next use year automatically. All points last for 2 years. In the second year, saved points cannot be used for high red season or higher.

- For the summer months, is it hard to reserve a week in Myrtle Beach, Aruba or Hawaii at 11 months out?

Only Shorecrest I is hard to get in the summer in Myrtle Beach. The other resorts are not difficult. Aruba is not difficult. Hawaii is impossible unless you are Silver or Gold.

It's possible, but not probable.

About 1/2 of the resorts are dually affiliated. You can book the unit yourself and deposit it with II. But, BG will not allow you to deposit any size unit at those resorts.
