When will the new Las Vegas resort open?

And, where is it? Was this a hotel that Bluegreen gutted and reconstucted or is it a totally new construction? Also, has anyone participated in the 3 night package that Bluegreen is offering? Which hotels do they use? I've really got the joneses for Vegas, but I can hold off is the resort is opening soon!

Bluegreen Las Vegas

1. I believe it is projected to open Q1 2008.
2. Location is north side of Tropicana Blvd. a couple of blocks east of the MGM Grand (in between the MGM and the Thomas and Mack Center on the UNLV campus).
3. Brand new construction - I saw the shell partially built two weeks ago.
4. We stayed in LV on the Bluegreen deal for three nights. They guarantee you a three star hotel, such as the Imperial Palace, Tropicana, or Luxor. We were at the Excalibur. Our original room was pretty shabby, but we called the front desk to complain and were able to upgrade to a newly remodeled room that was very nice for only $30 more per night. There is no guarantee that you will get nice accomodations (you find out your hotel two weeks before your trip), but we were willing to take the risk since it was such a good deal.
I recommend booking your trip - we had a great time.

thanks, kjhawk. I think I would rather shell out my own dough than risk getting put in The Imperial Palace. I stayed there on my first trip to Vegas over 20 years ago and it made me gag then Glad you got a better room at Excalibur.

Does anyone who's been to an owner update for the LV resort have an idea as to the size of units they're building and what the points charges will be like to use them? I'm looking down the road a couple years to a Las Vegas trip we're considering.

Points & Size for LV

Our salesperson said that they did not know the point values yet for units in LV. I can't believe that BG has not determined the points yet as it would be a necessary piece in making the business decision to build the resort.

I believe the units were going to be 2 bedroom lockouts (1b + Studio).
