Bluegreen Points Question

Are all Bluegreen points considered Bluegreen Vacation Club points? If you purchase a resale that is a week converted to x number of points per year, will they be Bluegreen Vacation Club points? Are you automatically in the Vacation Club?

All weeks that have been converted to Bluegreen points can be used at all Bluegreen resorts.

The only thing you need to watch out for are converted fixed weeks that were not put into the Bluegreen Vacation Club trust. They are affectionately known as type B deeds or "converted fixed weeks."

Those deeds are subject to special assessments directly paid by the owner rather than the trust. Just be careful what you buy.

Thanks, Boca and Charles, for the quick and good info. It is much appreciated. Had no idea, Boca, that there was the type of fixed converted week you made mention of. Are these still done or are they just remnants from a time in the past when the process was different?

Remnants from an old program. Whenever someone has a points package that has maintenance fees that look too low, that's probably one of them unless the seller listed the wrong maintenance fee which happens quite frequently.
