  • Info for selling 13000EOY points Blugreen timeshare

. I am not sure if this is the right forum since I am a newbie to this site but here is the question.

I have 13000points EOY Bluegreen for sale for 4050$.This includes the reseller commision and everything.
I have listed thru an authorized resaler so that all the benefits transfer for the new owner. Is this the most beneficial way for me to sell this?

      Reseller

Isn't the only authorized reseller Pinnacle Vacations or am I wrong? Are we allowed to say the name?

Yes, Pinnacle Vacations is technically the only authorized distributor of Bluegreen Vacation Club resale points. You can list and buy directly from Pinnacle Vacations or one of their referral agents. I am such an agent. If anyone is interested in buying or listing at Pinnacle Vacations, I can help you out. There is no difference in the price you are quoted or the commission you pay between the agent types. As with all real estate, though, some agents are able to net you more on a sale or get you a better price on the purchase. It all depends on how much they know about and have access to the Market and the System.

I thought it worked something like that.

I will have to get ahold of you when I buy more points. My husband called Pinnacle directly because they were mentioned by Bluegreen to us and he was a little affraid of the Ebay listings. I paid like 66 cents a point for a small package (6,000 annually) and I think that's not too shabby. We plan on buying up to silver level over the next couple years.

So what is the difference in purchasing from the authorized distributor vs purchasing off ebay when it comes to what you end up with from Bluegreen?

There are 3 classes of benefits that do not transfer unless you purchase Bluegreen Vacation Club points from Bluegreen or a Bluegreen Authorized reseller. If you purchase points from eBay that aren't through a Pinnacle agent, then you won't get the following benefits unless you are grandfathered in by purchasing points prior to Feb 21, 2007.

              They are:

              1) VIP Bonus time and day-use at resorts that allow it. Bonus time is the ability to book any available bonus time unit less than 45-days (48-days if you search online) from check in for the low rate of:
              - $49/night for a studio
              - $59/night for a 1br unit
              - $69/night for a 2br unit
              - $79/night for a 3br unit

If you live within driving distance of one or more resorts, this can be a very compelling benefit.

              2) Traveler Plus. Traveler Plus is Bluegreen's travel club. It includes discounted hotel, airfare, rental cars and cruises. You can use points to pay for cruises and hotels. But, these benefits are not the best use of your points. You use them if you can't use them in a given year. The discounted cash price is good, but you can get equal or better rates

In addition, Traveler Plus has a feature called HOT WEEKS which is basically RCI Last Call Vacations that you can book less than 10-days from checkin for 3000 points. This is a good feature.

You can rent points from Bluegreen at the rate of $.15/point when you are a Traveler Plus owner. That is high unless you need a few points to book a reservation. For instance, let's say you have 7000 points left in your account. But, you want to book a reservation that is 8000 points. You can complete that reservation by paying $150.

The Grand Yacht Club is part of Traveler Plus. This is a really cool feature. Basically, you can charter Yachts for afternoon deep sea fishing or 7-night cruises in the Caribbean for a handful of couples.

There are other features, but these are the main ones.

              3) Preferred Member benefits. There is a sticky at the top of the Bluegreen Forum which provides more detailed information on Preferred Member benefits. You become Silver Preferred if you own 20000 qualifying points and Gold Preferred if you own 35000 qualifying points. Only points you purchase from Bluegreen or a Bluegreen authorized reseller count toward these benefits. Here are the main points.

              - No cancellation or change fees. If you are a standard owner, you pay $35 to change a reservation or $50 to cancel one. This is in lieu of reservation fees or housekeeping fees that other points systems have.

              - Pay your maintenance fees with points. You get a good rate of about $.05/point toward payment of your maintenance fees or annual dues. Given Bluegreen's sliding scale of maintenance fees, this is really good for very large account owners. If you own 60,000 points, for example, you can pay all of your maintenance fees and still have 20000 points to use. No maintenance fees and no rentals required. No hassles and No income tax for rentals. Only points purchased through Bluegreen or an authorized reseller can be used to pay for maintenance fees.

              - Waitlist. You can get on the wait list at 12-months if you are a Silver and 13-months in advance of checkin if you are a Gold Preferred Member. The order on which you get on the waitlist dictates the priority you have in booking. This is very important for associate resorts that don't have enough inventory to support demand and holiday weeks at popular resorts. If you really want the Oceanfront unit for a Holiday week, you need to be Silver or Gold Preferred.

              - Gold owners have a nice benefit of being able to extend their reservation for 3 extra nights for free if there is any availability at a resort within 24-hours of checkin. This is a really great feature for people who can travel off season or to resorts with lots of supply such as Orlando. You can book 2 nights for a Sun-Thurs and extend your stay for upto 3 nights.

There are more benefits, but these are the main ones that owners I know seem to use frequently.

Wow.. That is a great benefit - no maintenance fees after the initial payment for 60,000 points. I wonder how much 60,000 point cost....

                    Pinnacle

You can search the listings on Pinnacle Vacations to see what people are selling resale points for. We learned about Pinnalce from none other than Bluegreen (at a sales presentation) who told us outright that Pinnacle was their authorized reseller! At that point I'm thinking to myself "why would I buy them from you?"!

Boca can help you purchase from their inventory, right? When you buy from them or one of their agents you get the benefits and your points count torwards preferred status.
