What can you let friends and family use?

1) Bonus Time: no, unless you're with them
2) Regularly Booked Trips Using Points: yes, I think
3) Travler Plus "Hotweeks":Not sure

With our young family, I have more points than I can use and would like to let my grandparents use some Hotweeks or things like that. Any ideas.

1) Only the person who booked the reservation can check in. So, an owner on the account must do the checking in. But, you can have lots of people on your ownership. Each person can have one additional simultaneous reservation.

2) You can add guests to your normal points reservations without limitation.

3) Hot weeks is only good for the owner booking it. No guest certificates.

There used to be no limit on the number of people you could put on an ownership. Then, someone put 15 names on their ownership and they decided to put a cap on the number. I don't know what that cap is. I can find out. I have had owners put as many as 6 names on the ownership.

Not exactly.

If you use your points to book a reservation at a Bluegreen Resort, you can add a guest to the unit and it doesn't matter where you got the points. You can rent out any of your booked weeks with points.

If you use RCI to exchange for a week or to book a rental, you can put a guest on the reservation. But, you are not allowed to rent the reservation. If you are caught renting it, they will suspend your account. This is to prevent people from creating businesses out of exchanged units.

Okay, I must be confused (not unusual!). We were told only 4 people on the deed max. Is this different from "people on ownership"? Is there a fee to add people to ownership? I know there is to add to deed.

There is only room for 4 people on the customer service screen. That is where that number comes from. That is not the policy. That is the system limitation.

I checked with my contacts today and found that there is no policy that we know of that limits the number of owners. But, adding an undue number of people onto a deed is highly discouraged. As with anything, if there is abuse, a rule will be created.

I would say that the rule of thumb should be that immediate family members should be the only ones included on a deed. I would limit it to between 4-8 members.

I have seen 6-8 sail through. And, I have seen 15 rejected.

Well, we tried to add our 3 children and were told we could only add two. That is pretty disappointing to me. Oh well, live, learn and sleep.

It's slightly dissappointing that we can't let our grandparents use our Bonus Time without us being there but I see why I guess. I did add my parents to the deed so that they can use bonus time and that's really all we can do to "share". We are a young family and we won't be able to travel more than once a year with little kids. We are looking forward to taking the kids all over when they are a little older but for now adding people to the deed is the best I could come up with.
