    I doubt any owner will think the resort (s)he owns are non-branded. Manhattan Club probably is one. OLCC before it forms its own global system is another one come to my mind. What kind of resorts in your mind will fit the non-branded TS?

    I have seen this forums add a few new subforums. So if you can think a good name and willing to support it, I pretty sure you can just ask the forum adminstrator and they very likely will add one in.

          And Shell Owners are able to confirm reservations directly into BXG resorts now. Another Shell Owner I know is going to The Fountains next spring!

              7 nights next March were 5,100 SVC points. I don't know the exchange rate between BVC points and SVC points.

                The Fountains is 16000 points for March in a 2br unit. So, it appears for this transaction, the exchange rate is about 3 BG Points for 1 Shell Point.

                  If I recall correctly, you can get SVC points for about $1/point. And, in looking up some comparables, it looks like SVC points have a MF of about $.17-.20/point.

                  5100 points would cost about $5000. Maintenance fees would be about $850.

                  This would be equivalent of purchasing 16000 Bluegreen points for $5000 and paying about $.053/point for maintenance fees. These are roughly equivalent. Very interesting how that worked out.

                  Hopefully this will be true in reverse.

                  I guess the bigger issue is getting into the program. Bluegreen allows you to get into it via an Authorized reseller. I think in SVC you can only get in if you buy into it for some minimal purchase like 2500 points. So, that is a big difference.

                    All current SVC members that are elgible for the SVC Lifestyles program get Select Connections. To be eligible for SVC Lifestyles you have to have purchased your points from SVC, so you don't have to pay anything additional for those benefits. This grandfathered SVC members into the SC benefit. Also, the fee for SVC members is $5 to confirm a SC booking. A pretty darn good deal!

                      They sell from SVC for much higher than $1 a point. I think it is closer to $4 a point in Hawaii but don't know for sure.

                        For those that qualify it is a great opportunity for BG owners to get to Hawaii, California and Arizona. SVC has very nice properties there. IMHO SVC will benefit from our Florida Coastal properties. That makes me think better start booking as soon as space opens up in my booking window.
