  • Timeshare for Thanksgiving?

Anyone traveling to a timeshare to get away?

We are again going to Christmas Mountain for a 4 night get away from family, dog, work, noise and anything else. Sitting around the fireplace with a nice glass (or two) of wine is very relaxing. Take some kites to the golf course and catch some wind. Of course DW will have me driving to every scrapbook shop around. Even so, I am looking forward to the trip.

I am still toying with the idea, but have waited so long the flights are expensive, and we can't take DS15 out of school so really need Wed-Sun nites. Still, ya never know... I haven't been home for thanksgiving in so many years, my relatives (we have a small family) have given up on a family dinner, and they are all going to be away!

We will be at Shorecrest II for Thanksgiving. I love walking the beach that time of year. Plus, we will cook and go to a show and do some serious Christmas shopping.

We will be at Orange Lake. Wish me luck on getting a good unit! I've never been there, so this should be interesting.

We are going to Molokai. Got really cheap $29 fares. Staying at Ke Nani Kai. I was worried about whether or not they had internet access. They do.

We have traveled to Whistler for Thanksgiving 3 of the past 7 years. Other than the extra work packing all the stuff my DW uses to make a turkey dinner, we have had a great time.

After hosting turkey day for the entire extended family for the last time, we will be starting a new tradition by travelling with our immediate family and both sets of parents to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. I will be extra thankful not to have to cook and clean up after everyone. It helps that none of us are big football fans.

We traveled for many, many years to the caribbean for Thanksgiving. It is probably my favorite time of year to go there.

Unfortunately DS isn't doing well enough in middle school that he can afford the extra 3 days off anymore. So I'm grounded here in the lower hudson valley until Easter.

Have fun everyone that is traveling!

We are going to Harbor Ridge in Southwest Harbor for the week. I don't mind taking our DS8 out for 2 days. Looking to relax and leisurely browse around.

I'll be going to my brother's house for Thanksgiving. I come from an Italian family that gets really annoyed if we go away for the holidays. I don't mind, really.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

DS just found out that Park City mountain is opening on 11/16. So he's campaigning for Thanksgiving on the slopes... so keep a lookout for a Sunday to Sunday week (11/18 thru 11/25) in Park City/the Canyons/Snowbird, and we might just go for the last half of the week if the air doesn't kill us.
