Just got back today from an owner update. We were not staying at the resort, but they gave us a night at a hotel in town and coupon book. Not sure this was worth my trip, but we only live an hour away.
Looking for a little help here..
1. Any ideas who best I could complain too as to how this was handled? Manager at Christmas Mountain, or higher? Would they even care?
Basically we were treated like crap when we arrived, the "VIP" desk could have basically cared less that NOBODY told us that "check in" was NOT at the resort, but at their "Welcome Center" out in the Mobil Station by the interstate. I have NEVER heard of another location in town, and I have no idea why they would not have told us this. Which I basically drove past on my way out to Xmas Mountain.
Does anyone know what purpose this serves? With the HUGE new sales building they just built, why another location?
THEN, we were told that our one option for the update was 2:30 on Sunday. On the phone they said we could pick our time on either Sat or Sunday.
Obviously this is quite a difference, and screwed up our plans for getting home early on Sunday. Again, they could have cared less about this.
So then on to the update. The rep - Gabe, was the nicest guy we talked to anywhere there. (go figure). He basically figured out we weren't adding 3,000 points for twice what i paid for my 9,000 points (resale). Didn't even bring in the closer to hammer on us.
Here's my question:
2. He told us that shortly they will take away our bonus time and day use privileges. BECAUSE we bought re-sale. His reasoning was that they never had a computer system that could figure out that our deed was bought re-sale and we NEVER should have had this benefit.
This sounds like an out-right lie to me. He had a printout right in front of him that showed we bought re-sale in 1997 and that the original owner bought it in 1994.
They couldn't figure it out? It was right in his face!!
I understand that if you buy resale now those benefits don't transfer, but tell me how they can take away something that I have had for 10 years?
But, OF COURSE, if I upgrade, I'll keep these valuable benefits.
Sorry to ramble, this kind of stuff gets me a little worked up.
Any help is appreciated...
