Policy change regarding borrowing points

I have to ask, why are you borrowing that many points? Is there an advantage to getting the point up front, or are you planning a trip 13 months out that you needed the points available? Just wondering.

This is NO disadvantage to borrowing points. They still expire and turn into saved points at the same time. Now, you don't need to pre-pay maintenance fees.

We have a cabin reserved this coming May and we needed a little more room for additional guest. We didn’t have quite enough points to reserve an additional unit so we borrowed points and made the reservation on the additional unit.
