My wife and I just returned from Charleston,SC. While we were there, we went to a BlueGreen presentation. We ended up buying a Sampler pack with 9000 points. We live near Chicago, so travel to most of the places in the pack are not a problem. My question is, after listening to the sales presentation, it sounds like everything runs very smoothly. But I know better. What are some of the things I need to know before trying to make a reservation? I know we can not use during the summer or holidays, not a problem. I thought I read about minimum stays on this forum. I am pretty sure mine is 3 nights min.I have also read horror stories about Bluegreen on other sites. I need some advice from you experts on the do's and dont's on Bluegreen.
I thank you for your replies!

Welcome to our Bluegreen Forum. The sampler package is a nice way to get introduced into Bluegreen. You get to experience the reservation line and stay at a Bluegreen resort.

There really aren't any gotchas in booking a reservation. You know the rules for your sampler package, so just make a phone call to reservations and try to book something. The more time before check in you have, the better chance you will have in getting something you want.

If you really love it, come back here and ask a bunch of questions about ownership and we will help you with those as well.

sampler package is how we got started. boca{jim} is right on ...go ahead and book something be patient if you are trying to get something on short notice it may not be available.....if you can ..check out a couple resorts so you get a feel for how they operate...talk to other BG owners and get there ideas.....we have enjoyed all of our stays we have been to maybe 14 different resorts.....some were more to our taste but all were one heck of a lot better than a hotel room.......enjoy
