  • Is the vacation week number important?

I am new to Bluegreen and have been reading up on it trying to become more knowledgeable to the whole process. I am a points owner and my week number is 36 (Harbour Lights) My question is, is the week number really a factor as far as booking vacations? The reason i ask is that i noticed that weeks sold during high red season are sold at a higher price than other weeks. However, i can book a vacation during the high red season just like anyone else, correct. (assuming there is availability)
Am i reading into it correctly?
    Thanks

Your week number does not make a difference for points reservations. The only time it matters is when you want to book your underlying priority week which is the deeded week and unit number. You can book that exclusively from 12 months to 11 months from check in.

      Thanks Jim.

One other question. What about the home resort you purchase through (on the deed) Is it important with a points system?
For example, say i want to purchase another points package and there is a great deal for 10,000 points on week 1 at a resort in Arizona. When in fact i plan on vacationing all of the time at Myrtle Beach during the summer.

Sorry for the crazy questions. Just trying to learn how all this works.

      Thanks,
      Stacy

Well, there aren't any Bluegreen resorts in Arizona. But, if there were, here is how priority works:

        1) Owner of underlying deed week and unit number. Exclusive access to priority week from 12 months to 11 months prior to check in.

        2) Gold Owners who get on the wait list in the order they get on the waitlist from 13 months to 12 months from check in

        3) Silver or Gold owners who get on the wait list in the order they get on the waitlist from 12 months to 11 months from check in.

        4) All points owners on a first come first served basis from 11 months to check.
