  • How do you give bluegreen to charity?

Purchased 9000 points in 2004 Mountainloft Even year week 40, with 7day bonus time. Maintenance fee 399.80 + Assessment + RE taxes + ARDA = 464.65 yearly. I was sold the same deal that I could take quick weekend vacation in Panama city/gatlinburg, just call. That was the reason in purchasing. Anyway that was a big lie, that being the only reason we bought. We do not have the time for extensive vacation and can't plan one a year a head of time. So our sales lady sold a big lie. So we gave away $9000 in cash that day, to be able to take quick weekend vacation. Plus the additional yearly fees. So after looking at board we got screwed its not worth anything. So I just want to give it to charity if possible. What would the charitable amount (appraisal) be? Do you know a reputable company that does this.
    Thanks

I have a charity that will take your Bluegreen Points. I work with them to sell the Bluegreen points packages for the highest amount to yield the donor the highest possible tax deduction and the most net amount for the charity.

You can only deduct the fair market value of your timeshare. So, the maximum amount you will get would be about $5000 in a deduction. You need to see your accountant for details. If you are interested, send me a PM.
