Just got a call from BlueGreen, want $50.00 to attend a dinner and here the new CEO ideas, call says that leftover points at end of year can be used for maintenace fees, and some other stuff. Have any others attended a dinner like this. I am in Birmingham. Just curious. Doubt we will go. Just curious if the rhetoric was fact or just another bluegreen trying to get you to buy more points.

They want you to pay $50 or they will pay you to go?
My understanding is that they are trying to hit more areas to talk to owners. My own preview center has never invited me to a dinner.
I would absolutely go hear what the CEO says. In my opinion, you can learn a lot just by being in the same room as the person steering the ship. CEO is not sales.
I don't think I would pay for the privilege, however.

Just got back from the ARDA Convention in Las Vegas. So, I haven't had much time to post.
I know of a number of people who are going to or have gone to these dinners. I would definitely go. I am not sure what they are presenting in the dinners, but I do know that people who I have discussed this with have been wowed by the Club and what appears to be a new direction for the Club.
If you go, please take notes and let us know how it went.

I get the family update email every month, and I see their dinners listed for many parts of the country. So far, nothing close to me.
I thought all BG owners got the email, but it can also be found by clicking on the 'home' tab at the top of the page, and finding 'owner update'. You can find some of the dinner information at 'Bluegreen Hometown Updates'.
I did find under the Encore Rewards News/Events that there are some events that do cost for the depost. This looks to be refunded if XXX conditions are met. Your mileage may vary depending on what BG does in your area.Don

I just got my new Bluegreen owner update monthly email with the latest news. Not as up to date as what we learn here, but still, good to read.
I see that one of the 'coming to your town' stops will be in St. Cloud MN, an hour away from the Twin Cities. Maybe in June, they will come to the Twin Cities.
I took the Bluegreen test. I got 5 out of 6. Guess I wasn't reading as much as of the posts here as I should have.Don
