Bluegreen is undergoing some changes that affect some departments (traveler plus, cruises and maybe others) or some types of reservations. Where you may have called one phone number to book a cruise, I believe BG is in the process of changing how this is done.
The reason I am bringing this up: I had points disappear.
Story started out very interesting.
First person I talked to told me that I had booked a cruise. I had not, so she suggested maybe my wife had booked the cruise. I was sure she had not, but it gave me a good opportunity to tease my wife when she called later that day. “Dear, did you want to tell me something? Are you going on a cruise? Are you taking me or do you have a boyfriend that you are taking?” OMG, that was so funny listening to her, ‘I don’t have a boy friend, I am not going on a cruise and I would never go on a cruise without you.’ She is a good lady to take my teasing.
I was pretty sure what happened was someone was booking a cruise, and wrong numbers were used and the points were taken from my account. I am getting more wound up, as I tend to do, and upset that my points are gone.
I spent 45 minutes on the phone calling four different numbers because each new number would be able to handle the problem and place my points back into my account. Last guy I talked to was giving me numbers that had already been called. He forwarded a report to his supervisor, and the ‘points will be returned in about 24 hours’.
Apparently, as they were testing their new system, they must be using active points in accounts, transferring them from the account through their system to test the changes. The points, in my case, didn’t get replaced.
So, my long story is just to let you know that you should check your points and make sure someone isn’t going on a cruise without you.
