  • Unused Bluegreen Points

I would to know what my best options are for utilizing 12000 annual bluegreen points I just recieved April 1st. I already have multiple weeks banked with RCI and am looking for options that won,t cost me anything out of pocket and hopefully make me a few bucks. I am just In a situation where I have more vacation time than I need . Any help would be appreciatted
    Thanks

    Unused Bluegreen points

You could try to market your points or use them to pay your maintenance fee.

Jim (BocaBum) can rent out your points. However, he won't do it for free. What's best is to find someone at work or church who likes to travel and rent to them. However, don't tell them that you have more points than you can use, tell them that you bought more points to go into the rental business.

Extra points cant use before Oct. 31

Have some points only good in white or blue, which will go dead Oct. 31. Also have some more points which if someone wanted to rent would be enough for a week or less. Two locations in the wish book(we call it) one at Daytona Beach, one at Ormond Beach. Sept. 19th through Oct.31 if interested.

I have enough points but I do have some questions.

            1. What kind of points are good in only white and blue time? I thought that saved points would be good in red, white, and blue. Are these a different kind of points?

            2. Are you implying that you also have points that are good at only Daytona Beach and at Ormond Beach? Or do you mean you have a weeks reservation there?

            Thanks. Charles

Charles, they are probably anniverary points. Or, bonus points from the developer for making a purchase from them. They tend to only be good for White or Blue season. Maybe those are the only resorts with availability for blue and white season before the points expire.

                Paying Maintenance Fees with Points

If they have only 12,000 annual points, they are not a preferred member and therefore cannot pay maintenance fees with points.

Jim. Thanks. I never received any anniversary points or bonus points from BG when I last purchased from them so I keep forgetting that they sometimes do it.

This is not necessarily true. There are circumstances when Bluegreen will grant Silver Preferred to someone who has less than 20000 annual points.
