We have reservations at Odyssey Dells in Sept but were hoping to get into Christmas Village before then...anyone know if there is any chance of getting into the other this summer? We've called and they say they're booked but how often do people cancel and these units become available?

Resorts and weeks open up all the time. If someone is going to cancel, it us usually 10 days or more away from the check in date. Keep calling Bluegreen and checking for openings.

We tried to book a week at CMV earlier this spring. The type of unit that we needed was not available. We found a rental on mytimesharerentals that worked for us. Our first BG experience was a UDI rental that we found on the TUG boards. I also have seen them on other timeshare rental sights. I think that the prices on these units can be quite reasonable. This option would allow you to save your BG points for another vacation or try to rent out your points that you would have used at Odyssey Dells.
