Thanks for the info. We be leaving for there on Aug. 15 and again Aug. 30. I'll try to get some pictures of the new pool area posted over at the yahoo group site afterwards just so the others can get an idea of the progress thus far. Maybe we'll be lucky and they'll have it open!

Oh my God. What can I say. A picture sure is worth more than a 1000 words. (As you can guess, I just logged into the BG Yahoo site and looked at the pictures.)

As to swimming in Table Rock Lake, there are few real beaches, you know, with sand and stuff like that. Swimming is done mostly from swim decks of docks or from boats.

In the ten years we have been here, we have done both. First from the boat when the community dock had no swim deck . . . then a swim deck was added to it (a tedious process requiring beaucoup crap to and from the Corps) . . . and now from our own Margaritaville Dock, an older, reconditioned resort dock with a large swim deck.

We have swam from the boat in Big Cedar Cove, our boat having come from Big Cedar Lodge, but by water that is about 20 miles from here, and the bread crumb trail is always gone when it's time to go home.

I have my avatar disabled, but if it still works, you can see Margaritaville.

I guess I need to get back over to Long Creek, to update my impression of a row of duplexes on a bluff.

Does anyone have info on the Kings River Lodge (2600)? It looks like it would be quite a hike from there to the lazy river or anything else for that matter. I heard they have shuttles you can call? Would 2638 be on the third floor with a good view of the lake? Looking at going in early June next year, seems that the weather should be just right around that time.

                Thanks,

                Joe

Yes, you should have a nice view of the lake from that 3rd floor unit. We've had nice weather during our stays there at that time of year. As for walking, I personally don't mind it. It's not a bad walk down to the lazy river. Just know that it's an uphill walk back to the lodge. You'll see when you get there if walking is for you. There have been times that we've walked all over the resort. Sometimes, we drove ourselves due to lots of kids and stuff to carry down to the pool. Other times, we mainly used the shuttles. The shuttles are great. Just give them a call and they're there with hardly a wait, it seems. During busy times you'll see them at the lodges often and we never had to call for one at the clubhouse.

Concerning Long Creek, could someone please tell me what the attraction is in a duplex on a bluff when there is no lake access, there are no amenities onsite, and you are a long ways from the action, either at Big Cedar or any of the Branson attractions.

Is it just that it is new?

Personally, there's no real attraction for me....other than they might be nice if you had several couples going in together with you. Nice "party pad"! I haven't seem them in person....are they really that high up off the water? I have seen an artist's rendition of what the proposed development is supposed to be. That includes 5 lodges, aquatic center, ponds and water features like at Big Cedar, a fishing pier in one of the ponds, a zip-line over one of the ponds, cabanas, etc. Looked very nice and it's supposed to follow the same decor as Wilderness Club at Big Cedar. No cabins though...bummer. And I don't see how the patio homes quite fit into the "Big Cedar" theme.

Checkout the photos section over at the Bluegreen group yahoo site (http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/bluegreen/photos). These photos are strictly of the patio homes. The artist's rendition we saw of what the future development was to be at Long Creek was at an owner's meeting at the Wilderness Club at Big Cedar. Looks like it will be very cool once it's complete (assuming they proceed with everything as proposed).

Hey JLB, just noticed the "Times Banned from TUG 4". So how does one go about getting banned from TUG? Sorry, but I'm still relatively new to the group and this whole timeshare thing and was curious! Maybe we'll look you up sometime when we're down at Big Cedar.
