Please click the link below to read a "quick start guide" to the rules of the Bluegreen Vacation Club. This roadmap will better assist you in maximizing your ownership as well as make the vacation process easier and quicker.

"To give all members fair access to available inventory, a maximum of 100 advance reservations (or 500 nights), with no more than 10 reservations in a single destination or region (see page
8), may be confirmed and/or pending at any given point in time. Should you exceed the maximum reservation or nightly allowance, reservations will automatically be canceled on your behalf to bring you into compliance. The standard administration fees may apply"

this is is also where you would find the regions.
    Gotcha ! thanks for clarifying

    • Hello, my wife and I just purchased our points through bluegreen a couple of weeks ago, just wanted to introduce ourselves, its nice to have an online community of happy owners to discuss ownership. Lots of questions so I will try to direct them the the correct threads

        Hello and Welcome.
Glad you came by to join us.
We have lots of BG owners so we'd be happy to help answer any questions you may have.

        • Hi, I recently (Saturday) attended at BlueGreen Promotional sessions, and walked out purchasing a 5,000/year point plan. From the presentation and the sales discussion, it seemed like a great idea. Upon returning home, I was able to look up online about BlueGreen Vacations, and almost everything that I can find indicates it's a scam, lies, everything is overbooked and hard to schedule.

Now, I know that most people will post their horrible experiences, and few to none will post their good experiences with the company. After reading so many negative reviews, I can't help to feel a little buyers remorse, which may not even be justified. Thus, I am on here to see what some of your opinions are.
I have to look at my paperwork, because I do remember something that said I had 5 days to cancel.

Please let me know your experiences, and recommendations.

          Thanks

          • Cancel and buy resale for a small percentage of the price.

            • 5000 points won't go far in Bluegreen.
Cancel and buy resale like Tony said and please take your time, because you need to educate yourself a little on the BG system first, so you buy the right product for your situation.

              • Thank you so much for your opinions. Until today, I didn't even know the resale existed. I will be eager to do research on that. As long as I cancel within the 5 days from purchase, I shouldn't have any problems right? Is there any magic wording that I should use, or any advice about canceling that you can recommend?

I am not an expert in this but look at your package that you received of a copy of all your signed documents. Find the cancellation information in the package. Some developers bury it in all the paperwork but it is in there.

Sign it (each of you) and date it and you do not even have to give them a reason why you change your mind. Send it to the address that is provided in there but keep a copy too of your letter or form. Do exactly as it is spelled out there and get a receipt that you sent it through the mail and they received it so you have proof that you sent it.

The developer has no choice but to cancel the contract and refund you your deposit. This is law in the USA and they will do it if they want to stay in business. Bluegreen is a company that you will have no problems with.

                  • Good Morning,

My husband and I sat through the presentation/sales event yesterday. We did purchase (7000 pts) but are rethinking our decision. We liked what they were offering but thought there was a better way to get started and get the bonus packages. I have a friend that is an owner and has been for an extremely long time but she doesn't have much information to offer me regarding making a more savvy decision. I want to make the smartest moves possible. We are worried, if we recind, BG may charge us and we do not want to throw our money away.

Can you offer us any help? Thank you for taking your time to help us.

                            • New to the Forum here at BG. We’ve been owners almost two years now. With the upcoming BOD meeting in Boca, is there a thread discussing the meeting proxy votes? We’re too far to travel there without an airline ticket.

                              • I believe I have read that there is never a sufficient amount of proxies and peple in attendance to constitute a quorum.
