No one knows if the DRI acquisition WILL be effective OR if it will be put into effect and if so, when it will be put into effect. I don't even think the high execs and board know that answer definitively at this point. All signs would point to it would happen and that it will be announced at or before the annual board of directors and owners meeting that happen consecutively (in opposite order) on the same date in mid to late September.
Speaking of which, here's another interesting tidbit which might give a bit of a clue to if this acquisition will take place or not. For the last two years (and maybe more, but this is all I am aware of), there has been at least one board of directors position available and one of our BG owners ran for that position both times and lost (mostly because of the proxy votes).............by this time each of the last two years, this was already announced by now (at least about the vacancy and recruiting volunteers to run for election)..........and I think usually a board of directors has a change of personnel (unless an incumbent runs and is elected) each year..............so an election happens each year......................I can't hardly believe that would not be the case this year either...............unless they plan on dissolving the board, due to the buy-out and therefore why bother even recruiting people to run (even if it is part of the by-laws)...............now granted, I am assuming alot here but perhaps someone could lend some light on this...................
Maybe this would be better posted elsewhere, at least in part??

Well, since I live 20 minutes from Mtn. Run, I too would like to have more resorts in the midwest but until this thing with DRI is finished one way or the other, BG isn't going to be doing any new resorts/property acquisitions. But it doesn't hurt to dream.......
20 minutes is great if there is some great amenities for day use, which there basically is not at Mtn. Run.......Boyne has the attractions which are limited to guests, I would believe.
20 minutes is too close for a respite place to go! and such a bother to go there and stay and still come in to town to go to work and then check for the mail and paper and etc. at home........................hardly worth the bother of hauling food and stuff down there...................but that's just me...............I'd rather use my points for a real vacation...............but we have sometimes gone there for a little bit........nice fire etc.
and now with three free white weeks, it might even make that more plausible!
