Regarding the May White weeks, I'm guessing (not having completely memorized the calendar for CMV) that May white weeks are a sweet spot in giving the most red weeks for the year, while avoiding the early Spring Blues.

      CMV and SC

When looking to buy such properties as CMV and SC, are they all UDI's or have some been "blended or forsaken the UDI status for Bluegreen points. What questions would be good to ask sellers and what would be a good $ballpark to pay for such properties (If I'm being crass, I apologize).
This is my first Post, and I want to say Thanks to all of you for sharing your wisdom.

In my opinion, a person should never convert a UDI to points. It actually makes it less valuable since you are more limited in the number of weeks you can book. But, pricing is all over the place.

Not all properties at CMV are UDIs, only the Timbers and Cottage units. I am not positive that all of the Cottage units are UDIs but there are a lot of them. When you convert a UDI to BG points you are only exchanging your redweek for a points equivalent. You retain the UDI portion of usage as described elsewhere on another post.

There are varying opinions on "Pure" vs "Blended" UDIs. The old saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" applies here. I think it is more of a case of how you intend to use it, than to label "Pure" as better to "Blended".

Some people with UDIs are interested more in the potential for rentals and RCI points generation than they are with actually timesharing at the resort for which they are deeded. In this case, for sure the "Pure" type is preferred. I own one and I know what I can do with it.

However, if you are interested to have the flexibility to stay in other units besides the unit you are deeded to, and the flexibility to reserve into other BG resorts, while still having much of the benefits of a UDI, then a "blended" one may better suit your needs. I also own one of these and I know what I can do with it as well.

I personally would never convert a UDI to points, but my reason would be only because BG requires that you buy additional point at developer prices to do so. I would convert my pure UDI to points if it could be done without the requirement of an additional points purchase. My reasons are because it would better fit my timesharing needs. I also accept that if other UDI owners would never consider converting to points, it is purely because it would not better fit their timesharing needs.

As far as prices go, yes they are all over the map, but finding the Timbers units are nearly impossible. I will not comment on pricing on this forum but if anyone is interested in communicating privately on any UDI related issue email away.
