  • What is your least favorite Bluegreen Resort?

It is also helpful for people to know what your least favorite resort is so that others with your same taste can avoid it.

I would have to say that of the resorts I've visited, Gulfstream Manor is my least favorite. It's right on the beach, but it feels like a motel. I probably wouldn't mind staying there. It just doesn't feel like a resort to me.

It's terrific is you want to stay in an Oceanfront resort and you don't mind there being no amenities.

I think we have to be careful here, much like the thread "over yonder" about worst timeshares. So long as people say WHY then this could be a helpful thread.

I'm happy to say I haven't been to my least favorite BG resort yet as I've only been to a few and they were all nice.

Player's club is my least favorite BG resorts (out of 11 visited)

I love Hilton Head but not Player's Club. The units are certainly not up to BG standard (BG only has a small number of units). The 2 br unit I stayed in is spacious and fairly clean, but the furnishing is really outdated with squeaky beds, scary shaking fans, tiny windowless closet-like
2nd bdrm, worn basic bathrooms, shared laundry etc, every bit of it reminds me of my first apartment. The only amenity is access to the Health Club. The location is not bad, close to beach and shopping, but it just does not have a resort feeling.

We stayed at Resort 66 in Holmes Beach, Florida last year and weren't overly impressed with the condition of our unit. It was clean as was the resort itself, but it was in dire need of redecorating. It was definitely a converted motel, though there was enough room. The staff was very accomodating, but it wasn't really resort like, despite being directly on the beach. I would probably return there soon though because I liked the area so much. Anna Maria Island, is the actual town it's in and right now it's everything you envision a small coastal town being, with few if any chain type stores or restaurants and safe enough to walk down the street at night. Unfortunately real estate prices are soaring in the area, so it's hard to say how long that wonderful atmosphere will last.
