Yes, it's true. This is the same Foxrun that is the great II trader. Even though VRI is the management company for FoxRun Townhouses, the Bluegreen Vacation Club owns about 100 one-week intervals at this resort.
The good news is that the point value for prime red weeks (weeks 17-42) is low at 7000 points for a week. So, the maintenance fee for a week at Foxrun in the summer is about $215 for Platinum Preferred owners and $472 for an owner with 7000 points.
The bad news is that Bluegreen does NOT allow you to deposit these weeks into RCI or II. This is simply good management because if they did, there would be a run on these units.
Instead, a better strategy would be for FoxRun owners to only use their weeks for trading in II. This is because if they want to use a week at Foxrun, they can probably rent one from a Bluegreen owner for what they pay today in maintenance fees.
If you noticed the disparity in the amount of mainteneance fee a Platinum owner pays vs. a standard owner for the exact same week, this is NOT a typo. Bluegreen provides a huge incentive for owners to buy more points.
