Chances of getting reservation for labor day

Yes, we're pretty new. Still learning, so glad I've found this board. What do you think our chances are of getting into Big Cedar for Labor Day weekend. I've been calling everyday for 2 weeks. (since staying at Long Creek and using the BC amenites). Now, I can't wait to go back. So seriously, do you think we'll get in or should I give up for this year?

Anyone have any tricks or tips?

How was Long Creek? It's alot of points to use or did you use Bonus Time or a free white week (as a gold or platinum owner)?

Probably the best tip is to do just what you are doing, knowing that you probably won't get anything. From what you wrote, I am assuming Big Cedar is what you are specifically looking for but if it is Branson, then try Falls Village or an exchange??????

Are you wait listed should a vacancy come up? I think the wait list is only looked at once each day though so if a cancellation came through and someone called for it, you would get it before the wait list was used.

Long Creek was amazing. The home was very comfortable - unbelieveable. Very roomy.
I was lucky to get it. (guess I'm hoping my luck will contiue on for Labor Day). I had reservations at Falls Village, was on the wait list for BC the same weekend so I could change - Someone from Long Creek called me & offered me a GREAT deal. We were the 2nd ones to use this home. We paid 6600 points for a Friday/Saturday night 2 weeks ago. (How I wish I could get that again).
I believe they told me that regular points will be 7500 Sun-Thurs & 10,000 Fri/Sat nights. Bonus time is $269.00 per night (I'm silver). $269. not being too bad if you split it with a couple people - for us anyway - way to big for just 2 people. You could easily have 4 couples in there comfortably with no problem (each would have their own room/bath). There is more than enough space to spread out if needed. It is HUGE!!
