  • Choose exchange companies?

Is there a way to choose which exchange company you are with through Bluegreen?

I'm just wondering because I think I just figured out that Disney is only through II and not RCI? We have RCI membership, but I've seen Bluegreeners talk about II membership.

I'd love to trade for DVC sometime!

Members are assigned membership with RCI or II when they purchase. I think that members used to have a choice. Bluegreen is now RCI for all members except those deeded in Aruba. If you have an RCI account, you can still join II. You must pay the membership fee yourself. To join II goto their website “www.intervalworld.com” and chick on “Join Today.” Enter your name, the resort as “Bluegreen” and leave the ID field blank. Select Bluegreen Vacation Club “BLG”. Then pay your $89 and you’re in. DVC Studios often come up when I search but 1 / 2 bedroom units are harder to get.

For II banking purposes, when reserving with BG, be sure to tell them you are planning to bank it with II (or even RCI, for that matter) and they will be sure to get you something that is "bankable" with that exchange company............such as the check-in day has to be correct (with some it has to be Friday or Saturday not either one)...................the BG staff is very good with this.

I am thinking of banking this year with II to get access to the Marriott, Starwood, Hyatt type inventory. I thought I should deposit something from Big Cedar to be on par with those. Does II use a similar method to RCI's "trading power"? I didn't see Big Cedar in the list of the few Bluegreen resorts on the Interval Join page.. I know when I do join to just select "Bluegreen Vacation Club"

Looking for any comments on why I should or should not do this.

        Thanks,

        Joe

Nope, Big Cedar is not affiliated with II. Your best bet is to do a direct exchange with another owner who has one of the resorts you have listed.
