The time share company Bluegreen is changing the rules on the fly, for FLEX owners. I am an owner of a Cabin for 1 week Friday though Friday weeks 21 though 35. I was able to Book and Cabin at Christmas mountain lodge based on availability until lately, when owners who convert their week to the point system by joining the new Association thus removing that week from my selection (inventory). For example cabin 224 213 for week 29 2009 is no longer available for Flex owners only point owners. If every one changes to point system the only week for me will be my contracted week 32 and cabin 231. How is this fair they just start a new corporation with points and sell my available inventory right under my nose. Great for BlueGreen bad for me as I purchased 16 years ago for very reasonable price.

This is a common misperception about converting fixed weeks to points. The sales guys always use it as a scare tactic to get owners to pay an upgrade fee from flex weeks to points.
However, the truth is that Christmas Mountain Village has been in the Bluegreen Vacation Club for over 15 years. In that time, it is STILL easier for flex week owners to get availability at Christmas Mountain Village than points owners.
Yes, some units are taken out such as the ones you quoted. However, those weren't your unit any way. If the owner used them every year or deposited it with an exchange, you wouldn't have access to it either.

Flex owner losing units when owner covert to points
No a Salesman did not tell me this.
I, for the last 7 years have use week 29 cabin 224 or 213 and was informed by serveral reservation clerks week 29 cabin 224 or 213 will never be availible as it now belongs to the Association which is points only.
GOOD BYE Bluegreen thank goodness Diamond is buying them out before they screw the flex owners out of the rest of there inventory!

First, you apparently do not own week 29 cabin 224 or 213. You never did. The owner of both of those weeks must have upgraded them to points and so they are now part of the Club. If you want to guarantee that you will have those weeks, you need to purchase them. Or, you can do a trade with a Bluegreen owner who can book those weeks for you now.
Second, if you think Diamond is better than Bluegreen, perhaps you should read some of the threads in the Diamond Resorts Forum. You may change your mind about whether or not the grass is greener with a different developer.

One more thing. Bluegreen (and RDI before it) has been converting Flex weeks into the RDI and Bluegreen Vacation Club for over 15 years. So, this is far from something new. The rules for doing so have been in place for that time period and is registered with the State of Florida in the Multi-site Public Offering Statement for the Bluegreen Vacation Club. So, this is far from "changing the rules on the fly" It is just finally impacting you personally for the first time in 7 years.

Greate information on Bluegreen
Thanks BB,
JLB from THELAW.COM sent me to you and said you know your stuff and he was correct!
I would like to know more about the Multi-site Public Offering Statement for the Bluegreen Vacation Club and I am sure there are many more owners had no clue about this agreement and how it affects them.
Thanks again!

As I said, if you want to get access to those specific weeks that you have always been getting, they are available to Points owners. Just hook yourself up in this forum with an owner who is willing to book those specific units for you in the Club and trade them yours. You may need to pay them a small fee for the work they need to do. But, you can probably find someone to help you out.
