  • Bonus Time trouble

    Hi there everyone, I am new here. I just gained access to my online account 2 days ago and can't wait to start using it. I live in the Detroit area so Mountain Run at Boyne is the nearest resort and I have been trying for 2 days to book Bonus Time. I am not sure if there is something wrong with their system or if I am doing something wrong. I put in all the information and it gives me the availability, but when I click "book it" I always get a message that the villa is no longer available. This has happened for all of my searches (we are not picky, we just want to check it out!!)

    Is there something wrong with the online booking? Would I be better off to just call?

    I guess I want to know if anyone else is having this problem or if it's just me?

    Well, I am glad to be a member of this group and I am sure I will be posting more soon!

    Yes, there is an issue with the online interface. It is NOT a real time interface into inventory. So, you will sometimes encounter online inventory that isn't available via phone and vice versa. If the unit can't be booked, it probably because someone else grabbed it before you did and before Bluegreen could update the inventory.

    If you can confirm it online, it's fine. If you can't, you need to call. It may or may not be there.

      I have not had any luck booking on line for bonus time....I had same problems you did .....but calling and talking to a live person helped......timing is everything in regards to bonus time...the bigger resorts are a little easier......have you tried hot weeks you never know you might get lucky and get a week for 3000pts which is nice............good luck john

        I called today and was able to book the bonus time, no problem. The lady on the phone told me I would always have problems at Boyne because of the 1 and 2 bedrooms combining into the 3 bedroom. I guess that makes sense. They wouldn't want to book a 1 bedroom unit and accidentaly have it be a part of someone else's 3 bedroom unit!!

        I am very excited to try out Bluegreen!!

          I check all the time, and I've only been successful once booking BT online. Then, I had to call anyway to make sure of the particular unit. When I really want to go someplace, I call 3-4 times a day. Terribly inefficient, but it usually works.

            Hemlocks

            Also, not very well known, is that the Hemlocks is separate but together with Mountain Run. They usually automatically check the Hemlocks for availability also when you ask for Mtn. Run, but I have had times where they didn't also.

            What is neat about the Hemlocks is if you get a two bedroom with a loft, it sleeps 10 people! The two bedroom at Mtn. Run only sleeps six people! but it is the same number of points because they are both two bedroom units........to get something that will sleep 8 on the Mtn. Run side, you actually have to reserve a three bedroom which is more points!!!!! No jacuzzi though at the Hemlocks (and also not in the one bedroom on the Mtn. Run side, either).
