  • Another Newbie Question

I recently purchased a timeshare with bluegreen a few months ago and I'm
looking to book my first trip. My family wants to go to Disney World next year.
We can do a two bedroom but we really want a three bedroom just in case
another family member want to go at the last minute. We're looking to do a
trade through RCI but after reading all these posts I'm feeling overwhelmed.
My first question is does it matter which 3bdr I trade? Meaning if i trade the
lowest point total 3bdr will I get a crappy 3bdr in return? And what about
seasons? We're going in July, do I have to book the same week that I want to
trade for? Is there a bluegreen trade faq out there somewhere that will help
    me further?

    Thanks in advance.

With RCI you just need to deposit a good week, size doesn't matter

Again, don't concentrate on the 3 bedroom, a studio during prime season will out pull any crappy 3 bedroom

RCI allows you to deposit 2 years prior to the start date, and you can use that deposit for 2 years after the start date, so no, you don't need to deposit the same week

Trading is a learned skill that changes all the time, trying to write in down would be like trying to hit a moving target. Stick around and continue to learn.

    Thanks in advance.

Just a thought if you have enough points 16000 Per week there are approx 4 3 bed units in Buildings 3 and 4 (orig Oasis Lakes) at The Fountains

There are only 2 three bedroom units at Oasis Lakes. Unit 3601 and 3605. Technically, those are flex weeks and not bookable by points owners.

If anyone gets those, its due to a mistake.

          Jim,

some weeks must be available since the 3 bed (sleeps 10) now appears on the points chart for the same 16000 points

I would assume that some flex owners traded in and joined the BGVC which would give the Vacation Club some inventory.

A high demand week is what is required and even then you are in for some disappointment if you must have a 3 BDRM for July 2009.

Using a very powerful trader I only see 6 resorts with 3 bedroom units available in the 10 weeks from 18-jun-09. Of those 6 resorts only 2 have July availability. The only good news is one of them is HGVC Seaworld.

A moderate trader doesn't see anything 3 bedroom in July. So pick a week that packs a lot of punch, go fo a 2 bdrm which expands your options considerably or plan for 2010. It really is getting late for summer 2009 planning in RCI.
