  • Big Cedar Wilderness Club at Long Creek Ranch

Our Family has reserved a week in March for a Spring Break vacation at the new Presidential Patio Home units at Long Creek Ranch. Has anyone been there to tell us about them and when they will start building Lodge units there? Is there any difference in view between the upper row as opposed to the lower row? Are the shuttles available to the Wilderness Club? Did you receive Welcome basket upon arrival like they do at the Wilderness Club, etc.
    Thanks

We were the 2nd guests in one of them in July. Awesome, very roomy.
We were in the 1st house on the lower level - B side, view was excellent. Quiet too. No direct access to the lake yet. Top level from the registration office was ok too. Liked ours better coz you didn't see the other houses.

Shuttles/Welcome basket - no welcome basket. No shuttles, you have to drive over to BCWC on your own & park to take the shuttles over there. Its maybe a 5 minute drive. Very close. I have no idea when anything else is being built - maybe the girls at the registration will know.

That was our first time to MO. I got a DEAL! I has ressies for Falls Village, and was on the waiting list for BC. They called & offered me Long Creek - it was a no brainer for us. Since we were one of the 1st it was only 6600 points for a weekend. Now, the points are outrageous!!!!!

It was loaded with room - can sleep up to 15 comfortably. (thats not counting anyone who wants to sleep on the couch or floor).

    Upstairs:
MB with king bed, jacuzzi tub, shower with lots of sprays, walk-in closet, double sinks - walk out screened porch
    Study with trundle bed
    Bedroom with full bed
    Another full bath
    Dining table for 8
    Bar with 4/6 stools
Another round bar heighth table for 4
Fireplace, plenty of room to sit, chair, sectional
    Full washer/dryer

    Downstairs
Mini bar - with sink/running h/c water, microwave, fridge, icebox.
    Pool table
    MB - same as upstairs
Kids bedroom with bunk beds & a full bed in same room - still plenty of room
    full bath
THEATRE ROOM - 92" screen, 8/10 theatre seating, (cable was not hooked up when we were there - they were still working on it). We borrowed DVD's from BC or bring your own. Full surround sound.

ALL rooms had a 42" flat panel tvs.
Counters in kitchen - granite / tile flooring
Lots of utensils/pans etc. PLENTY of dishes, glasses, etc.

Any other questions - just ask .

I also have pictures on the bluegreen group over at Yahoo.

Full 2 car garage with parking in drive for at least 2 more cars.

Today was a great day for lollygagging, so on my way back from Lowe's I swung in to take a look at Long Creek.

The most positive thing I have to report is that there were actually people working on it, as most new developments around here have totaly shut down.

Actually there wasn't much more done than my last lollygagging day, probably more than 6 months ago. No more patio homes (duplexes to some of you) have been completed. No common buildings or amenities of any kind have been completed. But, two roads in that area, where the common amenities will be, were just paved, still blocked off with cones.

Workers were building what appears to be a silo-like structure near the road leading to the patio homes. It could we a water tank.

There is only one sign of any kind, and it simply says Long Creek, so you can't tell that it is a part of anything else, or what its actual name is. The MPI sign that was there previously no longer is.

The patio homes are very nice. There's two rows of them and it is terraced so that each row has a comparable lakeview, and you really don't see the other row of patio homes. The only somewhat tacky thing I saw were the unit number signs in each front window, big unprofessional signs saying stuff like 7A. It would be more classy to put 7A above the entry door in something like antique brass letters.

But, that's typical for us Ozark Americans.

The lakeview is of a very small portion of the lake, not one of the awesome million dollar lakeviews.

There was a dock down there at the bottom of the rock bluff, but no sign of how to get to it.

The project is immediately before the entrance to the Long Creek campground and lake access.
