Employees are reporting that about 800 individuals were fired yesterday and multiple departments are now being restructured in an effort to reduce costs.

It would not be surprising if there were layoffs. Sales are down, credit is tough, stock prices are down, many companies are laying off. Many of us go to work every day wondering when the next shoe will drop.
If true, my heart goes out to those who lose their jobs.

In the past 8 years through our numerous calls (maybe a 1000 or more) we have gotten to know quite a few of those employees.
99% of our calls were handled in a very pleasant professional manner by the Bluegreen phone people.

sad to hear of this development. How many employees did they downsize to?

I just found out my friend is one of those whose position was cut by Bluegreen. she had tried sales and was let go after about a month, but was ofefred a job (clerical type job) imputing referrals. She, her boss, and one other worker that comprised the department were all let go.
I have heard lots of VPs were let go, but no confirmation.Comment
