We have purchased 9,000 Bluegreen resale points recently. (Not transferred to our name yet) and we also had purchased a sampler program from Bluegreen that has almost expired. We are somewhat interested in the bonus time and other traveler plus/(charter) benefits. Is there any way to purchase the charter with the 9000 points we will soon own, or would we have to purchase additional points directly from Bluegreen?

We were also told that we would get no help without purchasing directly from Bluegreen - that we would not get online access, and would not be able to get an information binder/book. Are either or these true?

    Thanks in advance,

    Lisa

Let me be the first of what will likely be many to offer assistance. However, mine will be limited.
We have thrown our binder away. Everything (and more) is online so the book provided no value.
I believe that once you have your transfer complete, and have your membership number set up, you will get access to the on line site. I can't see how they could not allow you to have access to your account information and the resort information.

We have been owners since 2002, love Bluegreen. Enjoy your points.

You can buy the points resale at a discount through an authorized realtor (someone who works with Pinnacle) and get bonus time and etc. Boca Bum, who posts here, is with Pinnacle and can get you authorized resale points (along with upgrading the ones you own, most likely).

I agree with vintner that unauthorized points should get you access to the website and whatnot. They will also get you RCI (if the original owners had it). They will not get you bonus time, the Shell Vacation Club, day use of clubs you aren't staying at, or any of the Traveler's Plus stuff, nor (if you had enough resale points to qualify) would they get you the benefits of Bronze, Silver or Gold status.

Unauthorized points give you full use of the points, RCI, and the rights of a UDI owner IF you have a UDI contract. That's it. But "full use of the points" ought to include use of the website and the other stuff your membership fee covers I would think, because you will be paying the same membership fee as anyone else (again, assuming the original membership fee covered RCI, since some of the older ones may not).
