One way for Bluegreen owners to get peak weeks is to team with a Gold (and in the future Platinum) owner to get the week of your choice.
How? It's easy.
Since Bluegreen does not have an automatic wait list feature like WorldMark does, it's manually processed once per day. Usually at night. So, it's possible to use a catch and release strategy for booking those peak weeks.
Okay, let's say that you want June 30-July 7 at Shorecrest I in a 2 bedroom Ocean Front unit. All you need to do is have a Gold preferred owner to get on the wait list on May 30 at 8 am EDT. In all probability, it will be confirmed at night on July 29 about 8 pm EDT.
Then, what you do is coordinate a catch and release and re-catch time for a slow period later in the year. In this case, I would choose mid-September on a Thursday at 3 pm. There is a chance that the re-catcher won't get it. So, you must time your release carefully at a slow time at least 2-3 months later when everyone gives up on getting that week.
Call into Bluegreen at the same time. Use Instant Messaging to time the release. The requestor should put their request in to the vacation specialist prior to release so they are ready to catch the week. Once that happens, release the week. As soon as it is released, have the requesting specialist look for the week. Boom, it's yours.
