  • Resale madness :)

I was flipping through the listings on Pinnacle as I was bored and I noticed some prices that really shocked me. I knew when I bought that timeshares lost value, so I bought it for what it was, a vacation tool, and not an investment.

So, it really shocked me to see the swings in prices for what appears to be the same point values. Side by side I seen two listings. Both 11K points (annual), one at Mountain Loft, one at Shore Crest. The former listing was @ $32K, and the latter @ $7K. (yes, those are what is listed).

Is there any rhyme or reason to this, or is it just whatever the seller thinks they can get?

Some owners don't have a realistic understanding of the current selling prices for what they own. Some people are trying to recoup what they owe on the property. I am not familiar with these properties or what their recent prices have been. Both may be highly unrealistic.
