    You only had to pay the closing costs. What is interesting is Bluegreen bought your SC UDI back for more then they have been generally been selling foron ebay, but I have not heard of anyone selling a CMV UDI back for cash to Bluegreen. Bruce Ye

    I'm not sure about what you mean by sleeper. I already owned a SC UDI at the time. What is interesting is that it was the same company that had sold/given me units at SC that contacted me off an ad and brokered the deal for the developer. I was happy to be rid of them as they didn't work for me as rentals, I never found any demand, maybe I just advertised in the wrong places.

      I think John Turner may be doing OK with SC rentals.

        I haven't heard from him in several years, I'd be interested to know how he was doing at that. Also how he was doing with that quartershare at Shawnee that he got for ~$1500 on eBay, I just couldn't see how to make that one work although I was his first renter there.

          Good for you: BUYING TO USE!!!

          Yes, the housekeeping is higher than CMV, but, uh, SO WHAT? It's still $100 for a week in a nice private cabin on beautiful grounds.

          I don't know what maint is on fixed weeks, so it's hard to be sure what this is. Buy after June so you won't be on the hook for special assessment. You might look up Kim at TriWest - she had a pile of em last year. Yes, $500. I still see some for $2000, but many people are asking more.

              Yes, *that's* where I saw 'em for $500. I checked vrint yesterday, and they were up above $5k for theirs. Yowza!

                Well, I didnt pay $500 or $5000, but closer to the first then the second. My family's very excited about the prospect of vacationing three or four times a year at this property. Hopefully we'll get family and friends to enjoy it too. Thanks to all who posted and all those who shared their knowledge with me. The bulletin boards here on Yahoo and TUG are a great source for those of us new to timesharing.

                      That's a strategy that works well when you can afford to be patient and the supply is good.

                      I'm not so sure it works with CMV UDIs any more, with Bruce "The UDI Hoover" CZ in action.
