    Good afternoon,

Spring is finally here... ok it could be warmer, but also could be worse

We have used a RCI trade for a week next June in Orlando and would like to link it with a week at the beach. We are gold so we can wait list 14 months before.

Suggestions for your favorite beach front properties.

We will have 4 traveling 2 adults and 2 kids, 10 and 3. So 1 bedroom will work, but would prefer 2 bedroom for the space. Would also prefer 1-2 hour drive from Orlando, not sure if we would fly in and out same or different airport.

I have looked around here and also at the resort reviews on rci.com

We are thinking either ViaRoma or Resort 66, but are open to other suggestions.

What are our chances if we get on the list early? How many units are in the club at both resorts? I have heard comments about Via Roma being split, part ocean front and the others across the street.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

I have searched SW FL and Resorts On The Beach through RCI almost every day since RCI.com began . . . 12 years ago next month.

I don't know how much you know about FL beach reach resorts as opposed to Orlando-type resorts, but . . .

***things are generally smaller at beach resorts . . . units, parking, etc. There are not as many 2 bedroom units.

***many beach resorts are converted hotels and motels. You may want to research a resort's history and pay attention to reviews.

***Beach areas vary widely, from cluttered and tacky to upscale and scenic.

Our favorite FL beach areas, SW FL, are more than 2 miles drive of Orlando, but not that much more.

We fly into either Orlando or St. Pete/Clearwater.

If you need any specifics, feel free to ask.

I looked at Bluegreen's FL beach resorts and they are not very impressive. I also checked RCI for June, both this and next.

RCI has a much better selection and nicer areas. You might keep that in mind if you decide to do more FL beach vacations.
